Further Temporary Road Closure Pelican Point Road
The public are advised that a further temporary road closure along Pelican Point Rd will take place as follows:

Pelican Point Rd, Babbage Island
Time and Date
7:00AM to 2:00 PM Tuesday 11th July 2023.
Reason for Closure
Dredge pipe unloading.
Closure Details and Conditions
Contractors completing dredging works of Teggs Channel and the Fascine entrance channel require an area to unload, lay-down, connect and launch large dredge pipes for upcoming dredging works.
Temporary closures of Pelican Point Road of up to two hours in length will be necessary to allow pipe unloading.
Pelican Point will be closed to traffic during unloading operations.
Access will be maintained for residents at the Carnarvon Beach Retreat at the end of Pelican Point Road.
Closure points will be at the intersection of Pelican Point Road and Binning Road and adjacent to the Pelican Point Public Toilet facility.
Traffic controllers will be in place at the road closure points to direct and coordinate any residential traffic. Please follow all directions from traffic controllers.
