Libby Kids is the new way to access OverDrive Kids. The same great content is available, with a more intuitive interface and an award-winning app.

Libby can limit content which provides a safe and easy browsing experience for children. Kids can browse, sample, place holds and borrow eBooks appropriate for their age range and reading level.

Overdrive Kids

OverDrive e-Reading Room just for kids provides a safe and easy browsing experience for children. The e-Reading Room just shows children’s content, which gets kids to the titles they want faster. Kids can browse, sample, place holds and borrow eBooks appropriate for their age range and reading level.  Once you have downloaded the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, login and register.

Story Box Library connects children with literature through the complementary medium of film, providing our audience with a vibrant, interactive experience via a diverse range of storytellers, each sharing past and present book titles. A place where the wonderful world of Australian Children’s Literature is on permanent exhibit Story Box Library in a beautiful online ‘reading room’.

The children's app LOTE4Kids is an online database of digital books in World Languages that allows kids to enjoy the magic of books in LOTE (Languages Other Than English). Enjoy story time in any language! Each book comes with English translations to help kids learn languages. Choose from thousands of picture books in 70+ languages. Every book is fully animated, with English or LOTE subtitles and fully-voiced narration. New books and languages added every week!

Busy Things

Busy Things is an online resource for the early years that includes 115+ fun learning activities that help children learn important skills in the key learning areas of creative development, problem solving, reasoning, numeracy, communication, language and literacy and knowledge and understanding of the world.  Access this resource with your library card.

Kanopy Kids

Kanopy Kids offers content that helps children develop empathy, mindfulness, and self-esteem through entertaining and educational videos. Categories include TV series, learning languages, animated storybooks, favourites, classic films and family movies.

E-RESOURCES FOR TEENS

OverDrive for Teens allows access to e-Books and e-Audiobooks for Young Adults available for download through the Western Australian Public Libraries Digital Media Collection on Overdrive.

Libby by OverDrive has ways to limit content to Young Adult titles, including Graphic Novels, making it really easy to browse the app and find great books, audiobooks, and magazines to download.

Borrow Box is an award winning Australian app that enables public library members to browse and borrow bestselling e-Audiobooks and eBooks on Apple or Android devices with easy options to browse and limit content to Young Adult titles.
