Summary: A whole new revitalisation of Hutchinson Park which included a new pump track for junior and intermediate/advanced riders, new landscape and surrounds which included revamping the basketball court and painted games. Included in the project were shelters and amenities, and a new distinct garden bed area.

Baxter Park Redevelopment

Summary: Upgrade of the existing ablution facility to be a secure and enclosed facility operating with timed locks, internal linings, fixture upgrades and DDA compliance. The park also saw construction of a new interactive nature playground complete with shade, slides and an imitation jetty responding to the local Carnarvon community.

Brockman Park Recycled Water Irrigation Upgrade

Summary: Installation of new irrigation at the southern end of Brockman Park to provide greener parks and reserves for the community. The project included planting new trees along the road reserve.

Town Beach Playground Shade

Summary: Installation of 9 shade sails over playground equipment and Town Beach kiosk providing much needed shade for accessibility. Protection from the sun all year round allowing the community to interact longer and safer while providing high quality amenities and a place to relax.

Pelican Point Erosion Control

Summary: Reshaping, seeding and hydromulching the extremely dynamic coastal dune system at the Pelican Point foreshore. Stabilisation through revegetation is a key component of this project.

Summary: Removal and replacement of asbestos roof sheeting with new Colorbond roof sheeting. Project included upgrading structure to meet current cyclonic engineering requirements and minor design changes to the overall aesthetic.

Summary: Redesign of the existing information bay and signage to provide an entry statement into Carnarvon and encourage turning left at the intersection. Introduction of a new life size 6701 interactive statement and large point of interest map for the Shire of Carnarvon region, (including coastline and Coral Bay).

Carnarvon Aquatic Centre Sealing and Repainting

Summary: Empty pool, strip, repaint and reseal pool surface with new Epoxy paint coating to provide a long and hardwearing coating on both pools at the aquatic centre providing high quality facilities to the community.

Indigenous Recognition Shelter

Summary: Construction of a new Indigenous Recognition Shelter at the Blowholes Precinct complete with signage allowing community members to reflect and appreciate the contribution and history of the Indigenous community.

Summary: Removal, realignment and replacement of the staircase that provided access to the Blowholes Aquarium from Beach Road. The staircase provides much needed access to the beach from the existing shelters and signage installations as part of the Blowholes Development Upgrade from 2020-2023.

Summary: Removal and replacement of the existing concrete capping beam along the Fascine. Totalling approximately 700m, the replacement included a higher grade of concrete and corrected the misalignment of sheet piling to provide longevity and uninterrupted views along one of Carnarvon’s premier sights.

Robinson Street Reconstruction

Summary: Reconstruction of the southbound lane of Robinson St between the first 2 roundabouts. Project involved removing the existing asphalt pavement and constructing a new concrete pavement, while also improving the drainage of the median strip significantly.
