ACCESS & INCLUSION 

The Shire of Carnarvon is committed to ensuring that all public services, facilities and information are available to all community members, including those living with a disability, enabling all community members to participate in all aspects of community life.

The Shire of Carnarvon's Access and Inclusion Plan 2024 - 2029 guides the Shire to support accessible and inclusive communities through the following outcomes: 

• People with disabilities have the same opportunities as others to access the services and events organised by, the Shire of Carnarvon.
• People with disability have the same opportunities as others to access the buildings and other facilities of the Shire of Carnarvon.
• People with disability receive information from the Shire of Carnarvon in a format that will enable them to access the information as readily as others can access it. 
• People with disability receive the same level and quality of service from the staff of the Shire of Carnarvon as other people receive from the staff of that public authority.
• People with disability have the same opportunities as others to complain to the Shire of Carnarvon.
• People with disability have the same opportunities as others to participate in any public consultation by the Shire of Carnarvon. 
• People with disability have the same opportunities as others to obtain and maintain employment with the Shire of Carnarvon.
