Fascine Wall Capping Beam Replacement Works

The Shire of Carnarvon wishes to advise residents and visitors that its contractor First Class Construction (WA) will commence works replacing the Fascine Wall Capping beam sections this week. Contract works is expected to be completed by 31 October 2024.
The capping beam is the 650mm wide section of concrete on the lower footpath area closest to the water edge.
Work will commence at the Baxter Park end of the Fascine and progress north. Work will be completed in sections. This will require sections of the lower footpath to be closed to pedestrians while capping beam replacement works is in progress. Short term closures of the upper fascine wall footpath may also be required. Barrier fencing will be installed around works areas. Please follow all signage and keep clear of work areas.
This project is funded by the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) program, through the Federal Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts.
