The Shire of Carnarvon is delighted to welcome renowned West Australian painter Mark Tweedie back to his roots as our artist in residence this July. Growing up in Carnarvon in an old heritage home on Olivia Terrace, Mark's return is filled with exploration of memories and a deep connection to the region.
During his stay, Mark will engage with the community through workshops, capture the essence of the region with photography, and connect with locals to gather old analogue photographs for his forthcoming 2025 exhibition and future works. Mark's visit is made possible by a Creative Development Grant from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC).
Workshop Schedule:
Medium Mashup: Sat 20 July, 9-11am
Landscape & Memory: Wed 24 July, 2-4pm
