The Shire of Carnarvon is proud to announce that Hana Smith, our Youth Team Lead, has been crowned the winner of the Tidy Towns State Awards – Young Legend Award! 
Hana’s exceptional leadership and dedication to youth programs, including the award-winning ‘The Future is Me’ placemaking initiative, has made a lasting impact on our community and inspired our young people to shape a brighter future.
Shire President, Eddie Smith, shared:
“Hana’s passion for empowering our youth and creating opportunities for them is truly extraordinary. This award is a testament to her hard work and commitment to making Carnarvon a better place for everyone. We couldn’t be prouder of her!” 
The Shire of Carnarvon was also proud to be a finalist in the Litter Action and General Appearance categories, reflecting our ongoing commitment to keeping Carnarvon beautiful and vibrant. 
We extend our thanks to Keep Australia Beautiful WA for funding support that enabled the Shire of Carnarvon to attend the awards ceremony and celebrate these incredible achievements.
A special thanks to Paul Gravett, consultant for the Bank of I.D.E.A.S who presented Hana’s award and recognised her outstanding contributions to youth leadership and community-building.
