Renaming of Rushton Street to De Boni Street

At the Ordinary Council Meeting held on 25 June 2024 Council resolved to support an application to rename a section of Rushton Street to De Boni Street.

This is in recognition of the De Boni family’s historical contribution to the horticultural industry in Carnarvon having established plantations during the late 1920’s.  The De Boni family were among the first Italian immigrants to come to Carnarvon nearly a century ago.

Landgate has provided preliminary approval for the renaming of this section of Rushton Street to De Boni Street.

The plan below shows the section of Rushton Street which will be renamed De Boni Street.
