Dredging Preparation Begins!

Contractors for the Department of Transport will commence diving for core samples in the Fascine Entryway on Friday 9 June 2023.

There are 10 sites, pictured below, where divers will take samples between 7am and 5pm, from a barge and a support vessel - expected to be completed by Monday 12 June 2023.

Mariners are advised to exercise caution when transiting inside and at the entrance to the Carnarvon Fascine during the above operations – which may incur some temporary closures.
