Baxter Park

The Shire of Carnarvon would like to advise the community we are aware of the damaged water pump handle at Baxter Park’s new Nature Playground.
We are currently waiting for the new stainless-steel handle to arrive, and it will be installed as soon as we receive it.
The
handle should be repaired and ready for the official opening as long as there are no delays with shipping.
In relation to the concrete pad at Baxter Park, we are aware of the pooling issue caused by rain and the irrigation used to water the park and have tried multiple times to unblock the drains but unfortunately not had any success to-date.
We will continue to work at rectifying this issue.
The Shire received external funding to engage Miranda Plum to help reactivate the site and we have been in ongoing communication with Miranda with the progress of trying to rectify this issue.
